A Biopsychological Approach

Focusing on the connection between your physical and mental health to assist you in improving your well-being.

The term biopsychological implies a connection between the physical (biology/physiology/physical symptoms) and the psychological (mood/emotions/trauma), in which each element can have an influence on the other. With the intention of creating a safe space for clients, this mind-body connection is what I endeavor to assist clients in exploring to receive as beneficial of an effect in both their physical and mental health.

Who I Work With

Clients that I work with may be experiencing any of the following and more:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • chronic stress symptoms (muscle tension, headaches, insomnia, aches and pains, decreased energy)

  • chronic symptoms secondary to physical or emotional trauma

  • chronic illness: fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome

  • reduced ability to tolerate exercise (post-exertional malaise, discomfort associated with anxiety during exercise)

  • debilitating fatigue

  • reduced ability to perform activities of daily living (due to fatigue and/or depression)
